Adeyemi College Staff (ACS) Microfinance Bank - Career Opprtunities

We are a new Microfinance Bank undergoing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) approval and require qualified, experienced and self-motivated individuals to fill the following vacancies:

 

1.  Managing Director
Responsibilities:
    To successfully execute or implement company strategies.
    Develop and execute correct tactics to achieve strategic goals.
    Coordinate and direct all company businesses.
    Responsible for the successful achievement of company goals and objectives.
    Understanding Board instructions and executing same using available resources.
    Attend all scheduled Board and Management meetings.
    Control all company resources to achieve targets including achieving all company goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
a)    Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in any discipline (additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage).
b)    Minimum of eight (8) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least five (5) must be in the financial services industry and at least, three (3) at senior management level.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate of in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

 

2.  Head of Departments

A)  Head: Credit & Marketing Dept

The candidate for this post must have:
    a good understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practices andprinciples.
    a strong understanding of generally accepted marketing practices and principles;.excellent decision making and analytical skills; superior communication interpersonal skills.
    proven skills; experience in dealing with customers from different socio-cultural and ethnic backgrounds in person and over the telephone.

Qualifications:

a)    A minimum of first degree or its equivalent in any discipline (additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage).
b)    Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least four (4) must be in the financial services industry and at least, two (2) at senior management level.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate of in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).


B)  Head: Finance, Risk Management & IT Dept

The candidate for this post is required to have:
    an analytical mind.
    good knowledge of credit.
    good knowledge of information technologyand banking software applications.
    enough strength of character to put the interests of the Bank first in all dealings and to be independent minded.

Qualifications:
   
a.    A minimum of first degree or its equivalent in any discipline (additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage).
b.    Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least four (4) must be in the financial services industry and at least, two (2) at senior management level
c.    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate of in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

 

C)  Head: Operations, Treasury & Administration Dept.

The candidate for this post must be:
    independent minded with enough strength of character to put the interests of the Bank first in all dealings.
    able to enforce the ideals of strict corporate governance.
    conversant with banking operations and demonstrate proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and word processing documents.

Qualifications:
a)    A minimum of first degree or its equivalent in any discipline (additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage).
b)    Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least four (4) must be in the financial services industry and at least, two (2) at senior management level.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate of in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

 

D)  Head: Internal Controls and Audit Unit

The candidate for this post must be able to:
    demonstrate high standards for professional ethics as well as appropriate judgment
    be independent and discretional.

Qualifications:
a)    A good bachelor's degree in Accounting from a reputable institution, plus a professional accounting qualification.
b)    Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least four (4) must have been in the financial services industry and at least, two (2) at senior management level.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification Programme and obtained a Certificate of in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

 

3)  Banking Officers (Marketing)

Qualifications:
a)    A minimum of first degree or its equivalent in any discipline (additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage)
b)    Minimum of five (3) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least four (2) must have been in the financial services industry and at least.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in practical microfinance banking.

 

4)  Banking Officer (Accounting)

Qualifications:
a)    A minimum of first degree or its equivalent in accounting
(additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related
discipline may be an advantage).
b)    Minimum of five (3) years post-qualification experience out of
which, at least four (2) must have been in the financial services
industry and at least.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence
in practical microfinance banking.

 

5)  Banking Officer (Information Technology)

Qualifications:
a)    A minimum of first degree or its equivalent in Computer Science (additional qualification or degree in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage).
b)    Minimum of five (3) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least four (2) must have been in the financial services industry and at least.
c)    Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competence in Information Communication Technology (ICT).

 

6)  Bank Tellers

Qualifications:
a)    A minimum of Ordinary Diploma/National Certificate of Education (ND/NCE) or its equivalent from recognize Institutionsand (additional qualification in any finance or business related discipline may be an advantage).
b)    Minimum of two (2) years post-qualification experience out of which, at least one (1) must have been in the financial services industry.

 

7)  Driver

The candidate is required to:
    have local knowledge of Ondo City with respect to locations, road network and socio-cultural practice of its people.
    be emotionally stable.

Qualifications:
    A minimum of school certificate and Trade Test I,II and III.
    Valid Driver’s license
    Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written English.
    Minimum of five (5) years driving experience.
    Ability to ride motorcycle.
   

8)  Cleaners

The candidate must be:
    Smart and neat
    Painstaking at work

Qualifications:
    A minimum of school certificate or its equivalents.
    Working experience in tertiary institution.

 

9)  Secretary

The candidate must be:
    Smart and neat.
    Very good at Microsoft Office especially word and excel.
    Able to communicate fluently.
    Painstaking at work

Qualifications:
a)    A minimum of HND or its equivalents.
b)    Working experience in tertiary institution.
