Rotary Club Adeyemi College chapter donates mosquito nets, waste bins to College

The Rotary Club Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo chapter (RCACE) has donated mosquito nets and waste bins tothe College Health Centre.

Speaking while making the donation, the President of RCACE, Dr. (Mrs) M.O Brownson, stated that the motive behind the gesture was to complement the effort of the College Management, in itsdrives at promoting a clean, admirable and serene environment.

She explained that the items comprising of 20 treated mosquito nets and 10 medium-sized waste bins, were donated to complement various contributions that the club has rendered in the institution and Ondo community.

Brownson listed some of the assistance to include award of bursary to indigent students, helping of physically challenged persons as well as partnering with the College Management in the promotion and sustenance of peace.

The RCACE President also stated that the decision by the association to donate treated mosquito nets to the College Health Centre was aimed at curtailing the spread of malaria fever in the institution.

While pledging continued assistance to the College, Brownson assured that the club would not relent in providing humanitarian services to both staff and students.

She also pledged the resolve of her association to continue to identify with the lofty ideas initiated by the College Provost, Prof. Olukoya Joseph Ogen, in his bid at taking the institution to greater heights.

Responding, the College Provost, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, expressed appreciation to members of RCACE on behalf of Management, staff and students of the institution for the donation.

While assuring of judicious use of the items donated, Prof. Ogen expressed the readiness of his administration to continue to partner with any organization expressing willingness to render humanitarian services to the less privileged and contribute positively to the development of the College.

In addition, the College Provost also reiterated his commitment to the advancement of the institution, he, therefore, appealed to other associations to emulate the good gesture of the RCACE by partnering with him in the task of moving the institution forward.

The highpoint of the ceremony held inside the Provost office, was the presentation of the items to the Provost, Prof. Olukoya Ogen by the President of RCACE, Dr. (Mrs.) M.O Brownson.

The briefceremony was witnessed by important personalities from within and outside the College including the Deputy Provost, Dr. Samuel Akintunde; Chartered President of the Rotary Club of Ondo, Mrs. Akindojutimi Evelyn Olajoke as well as members of RCACE among others.
