Adeyemi College Staff tasked on thanksgiving

Workers in Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo have been advised to give thanks to God always, in order to show appreciation and gratitude for numerous blessings enjoyed by them.

This advice was given by a religious leader cum lecturer in the College, Pastor Johnson Oluremi Falade, in a sermon delivered at the August 2017 edition of the College monthly organized prayer meeting, which held in the institution on Tuesday August 1, 2017.

Quoting several passages from the holy scripture in Psalm 115v 12 and Psalm 81 v 1-10 among others to buttress his points, the French language lecturer, stressed the importance of rendering praises unto the Lord, stating that the instruction, which is in line with God’s commandment, was aimed at encouraging human beings, to show gratitude to God, for providing for their needs as well as preserving and protecting their lives.

Describing the month of August as one that is very special among other   months in the year, the cleric stated that it is given such description because’’ it signifies new beginning.’’

He harped on the need for all human beings to have absolute faith in God stating that by trusting Him, God would answer their prayers as ‘’ He has power to set the captives free especially those who are in state of agony, discomfort, pains and slavery’’,.

Pastor Falade, however, emphasized the need for people to pray regularly and warned them against indulging in sinful acts, which he said could affect their relationships with God.

His words:’’ When you pray, you should have faith in God and know that you are praying to the Almighty Father, who has a listening ear and would give answer from His secret place of thunder’’.

The preacher charged staff of the College to be diligent and obedient in the discharge of their duties, and stressed the need for them to cooperate with the College Management, in the task of moving the institution to higher level.

The religious programme which held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium, featured activities which include bible reading, exhortation, praise and worship as well as prayers for peace, progress and development of the College and Nigeria in general.

It was attended by eminent personalities from the College including Deans and Directors, Heads of Department and Units including Head, Information and Public Relations Unit (I&PRU), Mr. Moses Akinfolarin, staff from I &PRU unit, Centre for Educational Technology (CET) unit, students among others.
