A former student of the Adeyemi College of Education (ACE), Ondo, has donated a library to a department of the institution to mark his 50th birthday.
Pastor Olatunde Oladokun, who graduated from the College 23 years ago, constructed and furnished the History Departmental Library.
In his speech during the presentation of the library, ACE Provost, Professor Olukoya Ogen, described the donor as a “man of vision determined to make impact on his generation”.
He hailed Pastor Oladokun for his contribution to societal development, while lamenting the poor reading culture among youths.
"By the nature of his business, he has touched many lives particularly youth and people who could be classified as downtrodden," Ogen said.
The Provost hailed the quality of facilities in the library which he said would become a mini-research centre when fully equipped and boost the college chances of accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
He urged members of the college alumni to take a cue from the Oladokun and give back to the institution.
